Amid the summer heat, the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th watch) Chiba Locale enthusiastically held its 11th Anniversary on July 15, 2018 at the church’s Worship Hall in Yachiyo City
Since their humble beginnings in 2007, God has been graciously pouring His blessings to the brethren of Chiba Locale through the years. With this year’s theme from 1 Chronicles 16:24, “Gratitude for God’s Marvelous Goodness”, joy filled the hearts of the congregation as they sang songs of praises led by Sis. Nene Libra. The Opening Prayer was led by Sis. Nancy Abe and the Scripture Reading by Bro. Dolfo Fajardo. Chiba locale’s Head Minister, Bro. Mannie Zata warmly welcomed the guests and brethren to the joyous occasion. Sis. Brenda Takao delivered the Announcements followed by a Video Presentation showcasing God’s miraculous works through the Parade of Churches around the globe. Bro. Onel Sta. Maria then lifted the name of the Lord through a Song of Praise.
In the Offertory Message, Bro. Mannie Zata reminded the brethren of the importance of obeying God’s command in giving our tithes and offerings unto the Lord, “Kung ito ay utos ng Dios, ito ay dapat tuparin. Ang hindi pagsunod ay kawalan ng pananampalataya at ito ay hindi magiging kaluguran sa Dios.” As God’s children we have the duty to give our tithes and offering to the House of God, that is the Church administered by the living Apostle in the End-time.
The members of Chiba locale then rendered a Song of Praise unto the Lord and Bro. Mannie Zata gladly introduced the event’s Guest Speaker. Pastor Celso Rosas of Gunma Locale conveyed the message of thanksgiving, “ang pagpapasalamat ay magagawa lamang ng tao kung makita niya ang dahilan bakit siya magpapasalamat sa Dios”. He further dwelled on the reasons why we should give thanks to God, “dahil sa lahat ng kanyang mabuting gawa sa atin, pinatawad niya tayo sa ating kasalanan, tinubos tayo sa tiyak na kapahamakan, mayroon tayong tiyak na kaligtasan, at magmamana tayo ng kahariang di masisira.” We witness God’s goodness in our daily lives and He deserves our utmost thanksgiving.
Brethren of all ages then gave their heartfelt Thanksgiving Offering unto the Lord and once again committed themselves to the work of God through prayer. Several guests also responded to God’s call in the altar for the gift of salvation.
The Worship Service was then followed by a Raffle Draw with guests taking home special prizes and one lucky brethren winning a roundtrip ticket to the Philippines.
God’s marvelous work in Chiba Locale cannot be denied with everyone’s heart filled with gladness and thanksgiving. To God be the glory!
