God’s grace was truly showcased in His End-time Church as Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ ( 4th Watch ) Nagoya Locale celebrated their 19th Anniversary and Thanksgiving service last August 2, 2020.

With a rigorous observance of the health precautions necessary because of the pandemic, the attendees and brethren gathered at the Nagoya Locale House of Worship in Nagoya-shi Naka-ku Heiwa 1-3-21. This year’s theme was “In all Circumstances giving our Utmost Gratitude to the Most High” from I Thessalonians 5:18. Adoration and praises overflowed as Sis Arnie Diwa led the Praise and Worship during Sunday School. The Opening Prayer and Message were powerfully delivered by Ptr Filart Barrera.


As the congregation assembled to honor the Lord in the Thanksgiving Worship, selected brethren of Nagoya Locale presented an Opening Production Number. Sis Noime Labistre, Master of Ceremonies, guided the congregation into the whole program followed by joyful praise worship songs led by the Nagoya Praise and Worship Team. This special event officially commenced and was opened with a fervent prayer, led by Sis Genalin Kato. The reading of theHoly Scriptures was led by Bro Christopher Vargas. Meanwhile, the Announcement was led by Sis Marywell Mori and was then followed by an adorable Song of Praise from the Cadets’ Department. The congregation were warmly welcomed and acknowledged by Presbyter Nimfa Barrera.It was followed by a dance and spoken poetry performance from the Youth Department.

The brethren were truly encouraged to give generously for God’s work through the Offertory Message ministered by Ptr Filart Barrera. Afterwards, the Nagoya brethren rendered songs and praises to God in preparation for the message. Presbyter Nimfa Barrera, Nagoya Local Church Head Minister gave the introductory speech for the keynote speaker Ptr Jojo Cruz, one of Japan District’s Committee Members and Tokyo Local Minister.

In his message, he cited several examples to prove that even in the early church,  the early disciples were not hindered from expressing their utmost gratitude to the Lord despite massive circumstances. He also emphasized several points on why we must always remain appreciative of the Lord. He concluded his message on how we should express our gratitude to the Lord for everything that He has done for us.

The meditation of the Words of God not only strengthened and renewed the faith of the brethren but also gave hope and encouragement to the guests, brethren and visitors equally. They ascertained that no matter what, we must live grateful lives in Christ. This successful celebration concluded with their hearts full of gladness, thanksgiving and renewed spirits, ready to serve the Lord devotedly in preparation  for His forthcoming return.
